Nursery Ministry

Children are a gift from God and our desire is to love and care for them in a responsible way.  Please look at these guidelines so we can do that together.

Nursery Guidelines

1. Bring cup, labeled with your child’s name, with a drink in it.
2. Do not bring your child to nursery if:

Your child’s nasal drainage is any color other than clear (color indicates infection)

If your child has persistent cough, or a fever above 99.5 degrees or has a known infection, illness, or contagious rash.

Thank you for being a part of out nursery team.  Your ministry allows moms and dads to receive ministry and encouragement, by being able to be in the service.  As you care for the children, you are also blessing the family. Your ministry is vital and important.  These guidelines are designed to help us be excellent in our service.

Worker Guidelines

1.      Switch with someone if you have a known illness (bad cold, flu, etc.)

2.      Cups must be placed high on ledge. If child wants a drink, give it to him/her and replace cup back on ledge.  No walking and playing with drink cups.

3.      If child has nasal drainage other than clear, persistent cough, fever or known infection, return him/her to parents.

4.      Pray before entering and before beginning you time in the nursery. Pray for God’s blessing and for His love to be poured through you.

5.      If problem arises in nursery, and if behavior continues even after verbal discipline and time out (as appropriate for age), child is to be taken to parents.

6.      First aid kit available

7.      Notify parents of falls, bumps, or bruises.

8.      Any suggestions or comments can be given to Penny Tucci or myself.

9.      If any cleaning supplies are needed, let me know.

10.  Prior to nursery, the room may be arranged according to your discretion. Do not allow children to climb on tables or television stand, or erase blackboard.

11.  Following nursery, please put away toys, blankets in totes.
