How We Started

Friends who saw a need and sought to do something about it led to the formation of a grassroots organization.  Through genuine concern for troubled families and individuals in a time of crisis, Westmoreland Hope In Action was founded.

Westmoreland Hope In Action operates entirely on the efforts of volunteers and has no paid employees.  All basic operating costs are covered by the ad-hoc committee.

Mission Statement

To financially assist and empower people who have had a crisis that has severely impacted them and their families.

 Standards of Operation

Westmoreland Hope In Action seeks to assist:

· People who have a good work ethic and have not been chronically dependant on benefactors and/or social service.

· People who, because of their own industry, have been disqualified from free state programs.

· People who are willing to reveal their complete financial picture.

· People who willingly receive and act on financial counsel.
