Lord’s Prayer:
Ephesians 6:17, 18
Our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name:
Names of God:
Jehovah-Jireh (God who provides)
Jehovah-Rapha (God my healer)
Jehovah-Nissi (God my banner)
Jehovah-Shaloom (God my peace)
Jehovah-Tsidknu (God my righteousness)
Abba Daddy
Pray with AUTHORITY, not as a weak, worthless worm who hopes that someone maybe God may hear you.
Thy Kingdom come:
God’s govt. come to earth. What does His government look like? What did it look like when Jesus was on the earth? His righteousness, peace, power, salvation come to earth
Pray for His govt. with our leaders. I Tim. 2:1-2 “First of all, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven:
Anything in my life not in line with God’s word or purpose must submit itself to the Lordship and will of our Father. In heaven, there is no hate, no rejection, no bitterness, no lawlessness. Restoration, righteousness, deliverance, wholeness, freedom, etc.
Give us this day our daily bread:
God expects us to ask. Ask and keep asking. Matthew 7:7, 8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks, finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened.” He responds to faith. Hebrews 11:6. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Not Doris Day’s Whatever will be, will be. Things just don’t happen because it is God’s will. Does everyone get saved?
Ask in faith believing that if you ask for a fish, He won’t give you a stone. Use scripture. My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:19; Malachi 3:10, 11
And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors:
We choose to forgive. We make a decision to forgive. We are forgivers. We release individually all who have hurt, rejected, offended, sinned against us. We choose forgiveness. And we ask for forgiveness ourselves. AS we also have forgiven. We forgive first.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Use scripture. Thank the Lord for the cross, which delivers us from the snare of the evil one. We choose to submit to God and to resist the devil and we know he will flee from us. We are thankful that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Temptation of sin, silence and compromise.
For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever.
We desire to do thy will, for we are citizens of heaven. We belong to you. We want your glory alive and well in our lives. You have everything we need for life and godliness.
Our lives are hid with God in Christ Lord, we want others to share in your kingdom. Passion for the Kingdom.
Conditions in which prayer is effective:
1. Do not be a hypocrite. Pray sincerely and humbly. BE REAL. Matt 6:5-6
2. Do not use vain repetitions. Prayer is conversational and spontaneous. Matt. 6:7
3. Do not hold anything against anyone. Matt 5:23-24
4. Always pray in faith. Hebrews 11:6
5. Expect God to speak.
Habakkuk 2:1-2 “I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, and how I may reply when I am reproved. Then the Lord answered me and said, Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.”
6. Ask clearly and specifically.
7. Persevere until you have confirmation that the answer is on its way. Luke 11:8
8. Praise God for the answer. Mark 11:23, 24
Correct Environment for Prayer:
POWER OF THE SCRIPTURES:
*2 Tim. 3:16-17 “And all scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” Bible contains everything we need to know to live a godly and fulfilled life. It is the greatest of treasures. Life instruction manual.
Bible comes from the word Biblos and Biblion, both of which mean book.
